Dax Deadrick
Height: 6 ft 0 in
Weight: 195 lbs
Hometown: Butte, Montana, USA

Dax Deadrick is one of the goaltenders you only see once every few seasons. He is 100% dedicated to the sport and he will tough anything out to be able to rise to the top. His last few seasons of juniors were exponential growing times for his entire game and now going into college hockey, he will fit perfectly. He is incredibly confident between the pipes and will stop at nothing to be able to bring home the win for his team. Deadrick has grown incredibly strong competing in the WSHL and the MnJHL, but I believe his strongest asset is his very high hockey intelligence. He can almost always predict player movements and can easily track where the puck is and where it is going without any problem. Going into his first year of college hockey, he is already resembling great college goaltenders such as Connor Hellebuyck playing for Massachusetts-Lowell or Cole Huggins at Minnesota State. He is a very rugged goaltender that certainly has multiple playoff and championship games in his future. The one thing that sets Dax apart from other goaltenders would most definitely be his determination and his mental sharpness about the game. When he is striving for anything on the ice, there is no doubt that he will be able to achieve it. Dax is the type of goaltender that as soon as he walks on the ice, players know they are going to have a tough time trying to get the biscuit in the basket. He intimidates other goalies with his confidence between the pipes and isn't afraid to try to be the best player on the ice every game. Dax will be a great fit for Northland because they are a tough team that plays until the very last second and that is the definition of how Deadrick plays. It doesn't matter if he is exhausted or injured, Dax plays until the final seconds tick off of the clock in the third period and he plays in support of his team mates. He has an undying fighting mentality and when it comes to fight or flight it will be ferociously fight every time. I can't wait to see what kind of stats he puts up this year because he has loads of potential for being one of the best goaltenders in the NCHA as well as in the nation.

Best of luck with Northland College Dax and have an absolutely incredible season!

Dax Deadrick: Northland College Commitment

I have recently committed to Northland College in Ashland WI. This has been a huge milestone in my career from any others in the past. I originally committed to the defending national champions, Williston State College NJCAA back in May. With many changes going on with the coaching staff and myself I was able to get the call up in July. Coach Seamus Gregory has given me the opportunity to compete at the next level here in Ashland for the Lumberjacks. The Lumberjacks are a national collegiate hockey team competing in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association. The competition is highly skilled at this level and for a goaltender like myself that comes with many changes.

Planning to prepare for college hockey is complicated and simple at the same time. The position of goal tending is 100% mental and staying focused can be a task at hand its self. I have made many changes in my off ice training to prepare for this year and the rest of my time here at Northland College. In doing so I have added more cardio and core based workouts in my routine and have put down the heavy weights. I want to continue to push myself and the players around me to their best with speed, angles, and agility. These skills and attributes are key at this level. As the only rookie goaltender on the team I have a prime opportunity to work as hard as I can and earn that number one spot as I feel I deserve. Stay humble, stay motivated, stay hungry, and most importantly stay grateful.

"Goaltenders are some of the most unique people you will ever meet, but when you see Deadrick play the first word that comes to mind is determined. Dax is one of the hardest working and driven goalies you will ever see in the game. He is out there in games 100% of the time and is always making sure he is playing the best that he can. He knows what it takes to be the number one goaltender and he is constantly making sure he is doing everything he can to be the best of the best. Even if he is extremely tired or in excruciating pain, Deadrick is there until the very last second for his team. If you are looking for a goaltender that is incredibly strong, insanely determined, and passionate about the sport then Dax Deadrick is your tendy. Watching him play is always amazing because he is constantly improving in every aspect of his game. Playing in the MnJHL and in the WSHL, Dax is an extremely well rounded goaltender and will adapt quickly to any game he is thrown into. He recently committed to playing college hockey and I am thrilled to see where he goes with it because he is at the level to be a standout star college player. Please keep track of Dax as he moves up through the sport because he will keep you on the edge of the seat the entire game. Good luck Dax!"
